A man was brutally bludgeoned to death in Northfleet during a shocking early morning attack. Paramedics attempted to save him but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have sealed off Hamerton Road in Northfleet following the violent incident at a local property. Officers remain on site, with the entire road cordoned off while specialist crime scene teams in white suits were seen entering number 17 Hamerton Road. Additionally, officers with search dogs combed the street and nearby land behind Northfleet Railway Station as part of the investigation.

Kent Police confirmed they were called by South East Coast Ambulance Service at 2:46am on Tuesday 4 February 2020 after reports of a seriously injured man. Paramedics treated the victim at the scene before he was sadly pronounced dead.

“Officers remain at the scene and Hamerton Road is currently closed,” Kent Police said in a brief statement. Enquiries into the shocking assault continue as the investigation progresses.
