Prime Minister Announces Gradual Lockdown Easing with Schools Returning March 8 and Indoor Pubs from May 17

Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate have charged a 28-year-old man with murder after the death of a man in Northfleet.

Kent Police were called to an address on Hamerton Road at 2.46am on Tuesday, 4 February 2020. Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended the scene, but a 44-year-old man was pronounced dead at the location.

Later that same day, at 4.25pm, officers arrested Harry Harris from Stanway Close, Chigwell, Essex, on suspicion of murder. It is reported that the victim and Harris were known to each other.

On Thursday, 6 February, the Crown Prosecution Service approved a murder charge against Harris. He also faces a charge of possession of a knife.

Harry Harris remains in custody and is due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court.
