Kent Police were called to a serious collision on the A2 at 4.20am on Thursday 28 May. The crash involved an articulated lorry, a Royal Mail van, and a car near Darenth, resulting in the closure of the coastbound carriageway.

The A2 coastbound lane is fully closed at the Dartford Heath junction as emergency crews attend the scene. Officers from Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service, and Kent Fire and Rescue Service are all present, managing the incident and assisting those injured.

For safety reasons, the Londonbound carriageway was temporarily closed to allow an air ambulance to land at the scene. This lane has since reopened, but delays continue on the coastbound route as the investigation and recovery efforts remain ongoing.
