The Kent, Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance was called to the scene after a cyclist was hit by a vehicle on Sutton Road, near Bircholt Road, just after 10.30am on Sunday.
The charity-funded air ambulance made an emergency landing in a field on Gore Court Road, close to the new Bellway Bicknor Wood development.
Doctors from the air ambulance team joined paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service to treat the injured cyclist at the scene.
Kent Police have been contacted for comment as they investigate the incident.
