A shocking assault took place at 12.40pm on Monday, 15 February 2021, in the busy car park behind Sainsbury’s Local on the High Street.
A man in his 40s was allegedly attacked by two assailants, resulting in him losing consciousness. The victim suffered a head injury during the violent incident.
Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene and provided treatment before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital. His condition is currently under review.
Investigating officer PC Carl Johnson said: “The car park was busy at the time. We want anyone who saw what happened to come forward.”
He added: “We’re also calling on motorists with dashcam or residents with doorbell cameras in the area to check their footage for any clues.”
