A woman was reportedly attacked by a man near The Priory Hotel on Priory Station Approach Road between 11.30pm on Saturday, 6 November, and 2am the following morning.
After the assault, the victim took a taxi and was driven to Deal in a blue Vauxhall Corsa. Police were alerted around 2.40am and responded promptly, with South East Coast Ambulance Service attending to the woman’s injuries at the scene.
A 49-year-old man was arrested later that day on suspicion of assault and remains in custody as police continue their investigations.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack or saw the blue Vauxhall Corsa in Dover or along the route to Deal during the specified time to come forward. Individuals with dashcam or CCTV footage are urged to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/225966/21.
