Kent Police rushed to Wayfield Road in Chatham at 9.45pm on Friday, 7 January 2022, following reports of a chaotic clash involving a large crowd. Eyewitnesses reported that during the disturbance, a car was driven at a pedestrian.
Emergency crews from Kent Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service arrived promptly at the scene. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital and remains in a stable condition.
Three men aged 37, 38, and 42, all from nearby Chatham, were arrested on suspicion of affray. They have since been released on bail pending further inquiries, with a return date set for Tuesday, 11 January 2022.
During a search of the area, police recovered two bladed weapons and a hammer.
