A tragic incident occurred at the Asda supermarket in Ashford, Kent, when a woman suffered a sudden medical emergency on Friday, 17 January, at around 6pm.
Emergency crews, including police and ambulance teams, quickly arrived at the scene to provide assistance. The woman was promptly taken to William Harvey Hospital in critical condition but sadly passed away later.
A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) said: “Crews assessed and treated the patient before conveying them to William Harvey Hospital in a serious condition.”
Since the incident, the local community has been mourning the loss. Flowers have been left outside the Ashford Asda as a mark of respect. Social media platforms have seen numerous heartfelt tributes, including messages such as: “So sad, condolences to the family,” “Thoughts are with the family,” and “So tragic, sending love to all who knew her.”
Kent Police and Asda have been approached for comment regarding the incident. The community remains in shock and continues to offer sympathies to the woman’s family during this difficult time.
