Emergency services swarmed Shinewater Park in Eastbourne on the evening of February 14, 2025, after a man suffered a leg injury. The incident began around 6:00 PM, prompting a full-scale emergency response.

Multiple agencies attended the scene, including South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb), East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS), Sussex Police, and a Coastguard helicopter from Lydd. Their combined efforts turned the park into a centre of emergency activity.

As a result of the incident, the A22 Golden Jubilee Way was closed for approximately one hour, causing significant traffic disruption. One lane was later partially reopened to ease congestion. The Coastguard helicopter eventually returned to its base in Lydd.

Reports indicate that the man sustained a leg injury, but further details about his condition remain unclear. Emergency teams have been contacted for updates regarding his status.
