Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded heroically after a serious crash occurred on the M20 near Larkfield on Wednesday, September 10, 2015.

At around 12:57pm, three fire engines were dispatched to the scene following urgent reports of the collision. Firefighters arrived promptly and assessed the situation with speed and precision.

Using hydraulic cutting tools, including the well-known Jaws of Life, the crews bravely extracted one individual who was trapped inside their vehicle.

The rescued motorist was then handed over to the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) for critical medical treatment.
