Firefighters battled a blaze on a lorry on the A20 near Dover, wearing breathing apparatus and using foam jets to control the fire. Crews doused flames engulfing both the cab and trailer of the burning vehicle.
They deployed powerful hose reel jets and compressed air foam to tackle the fierce fire effectively. The Technical Rescue team also joined the operation, using a telehandler to unload the trailer.
This effort allowed them to reach the deep-seated flames hidden beneath the cargo. The special operations team worked diligently to extinguish the fire completely.
Unfortunately, one person suffered smoke inhalation during the incident. SECAmb paramedics attended the casualty at the scene and provided urgent medical care.
