A ten-year-old boy was rescued by brave firefighters and coastguard teams after becoming trapped in thick mud at Folkestone Harbour on Sunday morning.
The incident occurred near The Stade, where the boy and a woman were sinking in the mud, prompting an emergency call for help.
This rescue happened just one day after three other individuals were pulled from the mud in the same area.
Two fire engines and a water rescue unit quickly responded to the scene, joined by multiple coastguard teams to assist in the operation.
The woman managed to free herself and began helping the boy while crews used an air lance to dig him out. The boy was then carried safely to dry land by the emergency teams.
After the rescue, both the woman and the child were handed over to paramedics from SECAmb for medical checks following their ordeal.
