Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters responded to a dramatic house fire on Cromwell Street, Hounslow. The blaze severely damaged the upper floor of a detached home following multiple emergency calls.
The London Fire Brigade (LFB) received 10 urgent calls starting at 11:56 AM and quickly deployed crews from Hillingdon, Fulham, Heathrow, and Twickenham stations. Firefighters battled the flames fiercely and brought the fire under control by 1:08 PM, preventing further disaster.
Most of the first floor and nearly half the roof were gutted by the fire. Six people escaped the building before firefighters arrived, and four individuals received on-the-spot medical checks from emergency teams.
“Our crews worked quickly to contain the fire and ensure the safety of those involved,” said a London Fire Brigade spokesperson.
The cause of the fire remains unknown. Fire investigators are examining the scene for clues including possible electrical faults, accidental causes, or suspicious activity. This incident highlights the importance of working smoke alarms and a clear escape plan to save lives during emergencies.
