Staffordshire Police’s Armed Response Vehicle (ARV) team acted quickly to apprehend two suspects involved in a stolen car incident, just one hour after the vehicle was reported missing.
The incident occurred this afternoon during Operation Lightning, Staffordshire’s ongoing initiative targeting vehicle crime. Immediately after the theft was reported, officers mobilised to locate the stolen car.
Thanks to the vigilance of the #StaffsARV team, the stolen vehicle was soon identified and stopped. Two individuals connected to the theft were arrested at the scene.
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson praised the swift action, stating, “This was a fantastic example of proactive policing. Within an hour of the report coming in, we had the vehicle recovered and two people in custody.”
The arrests form part of the broader efforts under Operation Lightning to reduce vehicle thefts and related criminal activity throughout the region.
