Barbara Pawelczyk, 36, has been identified as the woman found dead at a Newcastle property earlier this January. Staffordshire Police were called to a house on Cresswell Avenue just before 10am on Saturday, 2 January, following reports of a woman’s death.

Upon arrival, officers confirmed the tragic scene. A 55-year-old man from Newcastle was arrested at the location on suspicion of murder and perverting the course of justice. He has since been released on police bail as investigations continue.

Barbara’s family is receiving support from specially trained officers while the inquiry progresses. A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said, “We remain committed to establishing the full circumstances surrounding Barbara’s death. If you have any information, no matter how small, please contact us.”
