Andrew Edwards, 31, a former Wiltshire Police officer from Parkfields, Chippenham, is facing new legal trouble after allegedly breaching a court order by spying on his ex-girlfriend’s Facebook story.

Edwards was previously convicted at Bristol Crown Court for stalking and misconduct in public office. During his time as a response officer in Chippenham, he abused police systems to track his ex-girlfriend and her new partner. Wiltshire Police suspended him as soon as they discovered his actions.

In July, Edwards was issued a Stalking Protection Order and received a suspended sentence. However, on 11 October, he allegedly violated this order by viewing his victim’s Facebook story.

He is scheduled to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 21 October, to face the new charges related to this incident.
