Wiltshire Police are investigating a knife-point robbery that occurred in broad daylight on Burbage Road, Swindon. The incident took place just after 1:15pm on September 15, when a man in his 20s was walking alone.
The victim was suddenly ambushed from behind by two men riding electric bikes. One of the men brandished a knife and demanded the man hand over his money. Fortunately, the victim escaped without injury.
The robbers fled the scene when a passerby, described as a woman wearing a pink top, appeared nearby.
Authorities have arrested three suspects aged 18, 21, and 23 on suspicion of robbery. These individuals were released on bail as the investigation continues to identify and apprehend the remaining culprits responsible for the attack.
PC McGuigan, who is leading the investigation, stated: “We believe the suspects were disturbed by a woman walking in the area wearing a pink top. If you were that person, please get in touch – you could help crack this case.”
Wiltshire Police are urging anyone with information to contact them by calling 101 and quoting crime reference 54240109021. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be provided to CrimeStoppers at 0800 555 111. The police are appealing to the public to help bring these brazen robbers to justice.
