Sussex Police are currently hunting for a man connected to a collision involving an e-scooter rider and a 12-year-old cyclist in Lancing.

The crash occurred at approximately 3:30pm on Saturday, August 17, on Shadwells Road. The young boy, who is a local resident, was injured in the incident and was subsequently taken to Worthing Hospital for medical treatment.

Following a public tip-off, police have identified a key suspect they wish to question regarding the collision. A spokesperson for Sussex Police stated, “We would like to thank the public for their assistance in identifying the man in question. Our investigation into the incident remains ongoing.”

Sussex Police have issued an urgent appeal for witnesses. They are asking anyone who saw the collision or who may have dashcam or doorbell camera footage to come forward. Individuals can contact Sussex Police online or by calling 101, quoting collision reference 1482151.
