Sussex Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident in Worthing after a 14-year-old boy was struck by a silver BMW 530.
The incident occurred at around 8.20pm on Friday, November 11, as the teenager was walking along The Strand in Goring, near Coleridge Road.
The boy sustained a serious leg injury and was immediately taken to Worthing Hospital for treatment. The driver of the silver BMW failed to stop at the scene, causing further damage by smashing a lamppost and a residential wall before fleeing.
Police are urgently seeking witnesses who may have seen the silver BMW or its occupants in the area around the time of the collision. Any information could be crucial to the ongoing investigation.
Authorities are also requesting anyone with CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage related to the incident to come forward. Footage can be submitted by emailing collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk or by calling 101. When contacting police, please quote incident number 1243 of 11/11.
