A man has been rushed to hospital after a stabbing in broad daylight near Southend-on-Sea’s busy Warrior Square area.
Emergency services responded to the incident around 3pm on Thursday, May 14. The London Air Ambulance, including flying doctors, landed close to the town’s skatepark, which remains cordoned off by police.
Essex Police have sealed off the skatepark while scene of crime officers conduct a thorough search for evidence.
A police spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of an assault in the Warrior Square area of Southend shortly before 3pm on Thursday, May 14. Officers and paramedics attended and found a man with a stab wound to his back. The man has been taken to hospital and an investigation has been launched. No arrests have been made.”
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. Witnesses can contact Essex Police on 101 quoting incident 575 of 14 May.
