Police are searching for three men involved in a break-in at a home in Basildon, where three prized English Bulldog puppies were stolen. The incident took place at approximately 10.50pm on Friday, October 23, at a property on Deneway.
During the raid, one of the intruders sprayed a woman inside the house in the face with an unknown substance before seizing the puppies and fleeing the scene.
Descriptions of the suspects have been released. One man is described as being of Asian or Mediterranean descent and wearing tracksuit trousers. Another suspect is around 6ft tall, aged between 30 and 40 years old, with a large build, wearing a navy hoodie and having dark hair. At least one of the men was wearing a balaclava or beanie-style hat.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen a dark estate car, a dark hatchback, or a white transit-style van in the area around the time of the break-in or in the days prior.
