Police are on the lookout for witnesses after a hit-and-run collision at the Army and Navy roundabout in Chelmsford.

The crash occurred at 1.05pm on Thursday 17 December at the entrance to Van Diemans Road while the traffic lights were red. A dark-coloured vehicle collided with a black Vauxhall Antara, causing damage to the Antara’s rear bumper.

The driver of the dark-coloured vehicle initially stopped but then sped off along Parkway, disappearing from the scene.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the incident. However, Essex Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the fleeing driver.
