Owami Davies, a 24-year-old woman, has been missing since she was last seen in West Croydon just after midnight on July 7. She vanished without a trace after leaving her family home in Grays, Essex, leaving her family desperate for answers.
Police have arrested three men in connection with the disappearance. Two men, aged 23 and 27, were arrested on Monday, followed by a third man, aged 32, on Tuesday. All three remain in custody at a south London police station as detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command lead the investigation.
Officers are currently searching Derby Road in West Croydon for any clues that could help locate Owami. The investigation timeline is as follows:
- July 4: Owami leaves her family home in Chafford Hundred, Grays.
- July 6: Last confirmed sighting of Owami in Croydon, wearing a black jumper, grey joggers, and a grey cap.
- July 7: Metropolitan Police confirm Owami was seen in West Croydon just after midnight.
- July 11: Essex Police officially report Owami missing.
- July 31: Metropolitan Police issue the first public appeal for information.
Owami’s family have had no contact with her since her disappearance, and she has also failed to attend work, increasing concerns for her safety.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said, “We are urging anyone with information to come forward. Our officers have the resources and expertise to conduct this complex investigation.”
