A 15-year-old girl was attacked near the junction of Firle Road and Havelock Road in Eastbourne at around 7pm on Friday, October 2. An unknown man suddenly approached her and pushed her against a wall.
Thankfully, the girl fought back, causing the attacker to quickly flee the scene. The victim sustained only a minor injury to her hand.
Police have released a description of the suspect, who is believed to be about 25 years old with short brown hair. He was wearing a hooded jumper and a baseball cap worn backwards at the time of the incident.
Authorities are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or noticed any suspicious behaviour in the area to come forward. Witnesses can contact police online or call 101, quoting serial 902 of 06/10.
