Thames Valley Police are investigating a serious crash that occurred on the A404 near Holmer Green on Friday afternoon, 23 October. At approximately 3:22pm, a blue Vauxhall Corsa and a white Volvo V40 collided close to Sheepcote Dell Lane.

The driver of the white Volvo, a woman in her 40s, sustained serious injuries and is currently stable in hospital. The driver of the blue Vauxhall Corsa, a man in his 50s, was also taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe that prior to the collision, the Vauxhall Corsa was involved in an incident with a silver Ford Focus. It is thought the Ford driver was attempting to catch up with the Vauxhall Corsa before the crash occurred. At this stage, no arrests have been made, and all individuals involved have been accounted for.

PC Richard Lunn from the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit said, “We are investigating this incident in which two people have been injured. If you witnessed the collision or have dashcam footage, please get in touch. We especially want to hear from anyone who saw the Vauxhall Corsa or Silver Ford Focus before 3:20pm in the Holmer Green area.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact Thames Valley Police by calling 101 or reporting online, quoting reference number 43200339597. For those wishing to remain anonymous, information can be provided to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
