A suspicious blaze hit a derelict barn in Malmesbury yesterday evening, prompting a joint investigation as the fire is believed to be deliberate.
Firefighters from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue were called to the scene shortly before 6.30pm on October 27. The fire occurred at a rundown barn located on Foxley Road, near the junction with Dark Lane.
The property has been long abandoned, and local residents have expressed concerns that the fire was started intentionally.
Police officers are currently searching the area and are appealing for witnesses who observed any suspicious behaviour around 6.30pm to come forward. Members of the public with dash cam footage that may show potential culprits are also urged to contact the authorities.
