The A2 in Kent is closed westbound, heading towards London, between the B255 at Bean and the M25 Junction 2 (Darenth Interchange) after a serious crash involving a motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist is now fighting for his life following the collision. Emergency services including Kent Police, ambulance crews, and Highways England traffic officers rushed to the scene to manage the incident.

The affected stretch of the A2 remains closed while investigations and recovery efforts are ongoing.

Motorists are being diverted off the A2 at Bean. Drivers are advised to follow the solid square symbol to navigate the disruption: exit at Bean and head north on the B255. At the A206 roundabout, take the first exit west. At M25 Junction 1A, choose south (clockwise) to rejoin the A2 or continue north (anti-clockwise) via Dartford.

Drivers in the area should expect significant delays and plan their journeys accordingly.
