Shocking footage has emerged showing a motorcyclist brazenly riding on a pavement in Gillingham, narrowly avoiding a collision with a pedestrian. The reckless rider has been slammed across social media, with locals demanding urgent police action.
The video, captured from a dashcam by a concerned driver, shows the biker weaving along the footpath. At one point, the rider takes sudden evasive action to avoid hitting a woman walking nearby. The footage has left many stunned by the sheer recklessness.
Adding to the chaos, a second motorcyclist riding with the first performs a risky undertaking manoeuvre. The pair then blatantly fail to stop at a zebra crossing where pedestrians were crossing safely.
Local residents have reacted strongly to the incident. John Gooch commented, “That reminds me, someone had a good time on a country road last night, just how did they do that??” Ansis Ancens Valdmanis noted, “The bike on left hand side looks stolen – no registration plate on it.” Corrine Simmons added, “Seen these two driving like idiots near the police station too, trying to get officers to chase them. It was late at night, dark, and they had no lights on.”
Kent Police have appealed for anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward. They are keen to identify the pair behind the dangerous stunt. Anyone who can help is asked to call Kent Police on 101.
