Emergency services raced to Herne Bay beach in Kent after an 18-year-old was found unconscious on the shore on Saturday afternoon.

A Kent Police team, South East Coast Ambulance medics, and the Coast Guard’s Rescue 163 helicopter all rushed to the scene shortly after 12pm.

The young victim was washed ashore unconscious, prompting a rapid response from multiple agencies.

Details on the circumstances remain scarce as rescue efforts continue.
