Kent Police were scrambled at 2.30pm on Sunday, June 21, following reports of a stabbing on Palace Street, Canterbury.
A 17-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries consistent with a stab wound. The attack occurred in broad daylight during the afternoon.
Officers remain at the scene conducting thorough enquiries. No arrests have been made so far as police continue to hunt for suspects.
Local police are urging anyone who witnessed the assault or has any information to come forward.
