Police have issued a CCTV image of a woman who may be crucial to solving a handbag theft in Canterbury.

The incident occurred around midday on Tuesday, 23 June 2020, when a woman in her 70s was shopping at Primark in Marlowe Arcade. During this time, her red handbag was stolen.

The stolen handbag contained cash, a bank card, keys, and important bank documents.

Kent Police are appealing for help to identify the woman pictured in the CCTV footage. Anyone who recognises her or has information related to the theft is urged to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/106077/20.

Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or by using their online anonymous form at Crimestoppers-uk.org.
