Kent Police have launched an arson investigation following a suspicious fire that occurred in the early hours on the Isle of Sheppey. The incident took place in Sheerness, where a front garden was set ablaze.
At approximately 4.25am on Saturday 11 July 2020, emergency services were called to a property on Victoria Street after reports of a fire burning outside in the front garden. The flames spread and caused damage to the house itself.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded promptly and managed to bring the fire under control. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported during the incident.
Police are treating the fire as suspicious and have appealed for witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact Kent Police on 01795 419119, quoting reference 46/118156/20.
