A quiet corner of Dover was shaken by a brutal stabbing after a 25-year-old man was found dead in Eythorne. Kent Police have launched a full murder investigation following the grim discovery at a private home in Rose Gardens.
Officers were called at 9:06am on Thursday 29 January 2026 after reports of a violent assault. Emergency crews arrived to find the victim suffering fatal stab wounds. Despite efforts to save him on scene, the young man was pronounced dead. His next of kin have been notified.
A Dover man in his 60s, reportedly known to the victim, was arrested close to the scene. He remains in police custody as detectives continue their probe. A police cordon remains in place around Rose Gardens and will stay overnight while forensic teams comb the area for evidence.
Investigators are urgently seeking information from the public. They are urging anyone with CCTV footage or dashcam recordings from the area to check and report what they see. Locals are encouraged to help crack the case.
