Kent Fire and Rescue Service launched a major operation after a house fire broke out in Tenterden just after midnight on Tuesday, 17th February 2026. Eight fire engines and a bulk water carrier sped to the scene, where crews fought the flames using powerful main jets and high-pressure hose reel jets.
UK Power Networks dispatched an electrical safety engineer to check for faults. Kent Police secured the area to keep the public safe. South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) stood by ready to assist with any medical emergencies.
Firefighters worked fast to bring the blaze under control and shield neighbouring properties, ensuring safety in Ashford’s Tenterden community.
