Kent Police are investigating after a 19-year-old was viciously attacked near St Martin’s Hill, Canterbury. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon, 27 October 2025, when a violent clash erupted outside a churchyard.
The victim was walking with a group to a churchyard on North Holmes Road when the fight broke out. The young man sustained cuts and bruises to his face, hands, and leg as a result of the attack.
Police launched a full investigation shortly after the incident at around 3pm. Three days later, a 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of assault. He has since been released on bail with strict conditions while inquiries continue.
Kent Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident to come forward. Those with information are asked to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/185649/25.
