Kent Police are actively hunting a man involved in a shocking road rage incident that took place on Cornford Lane, Tunbridge Wells, at around 1.10pm on Saturday, 15 November 2025.
The suspect, described as a white male in his early 50s with grey hair longer at the front and a stocky build, was driving a light-coloured car believed to be a Vauxhall Corsa. He allegedly hurled verbal abuse and spat at a woman driving in the opposite direction towards Pembury.
Before the spitting incident, the man reportedly showed aggressive behaviour towards other drivers, causing alarm on the road.
Kent Police have clarified that the woman was the driver of the targeted vehicle, not a passenger as initially reported. A police spokesperson said, “We have reviewed the report and can confirm the woman was an occupant of the vehicle.”
Officers are urging witnesses to come forward with any information, including dashcam or CCTV footage, that could assist in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact the West Kent appeals line on 01622 604100, quoting reference 16-0408.
Police emphasize the importance of public assistance in bringing this individual to justice, stating, “Don’t stay silent — your tip could be key to catching this shameless spitter!”
