Chaos erupted in Kent on Monday 13 May 2024, when a violent attack and vandalism occurred on Carnation Road. At around 7.10pm, Kent Police received reports of an assault and criminal damage inside a property on Carnation Road.
The suspect fled the scene on foot, heading towards the busy High Street. During his escape, he allegedly attacked members of the public and smashed several vehicles, causing shock and confusion in the local community.
Two victims, a man and a woman, were seriously injured during the incident and were rushed to hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Police responded swiftly, arriving on scene at 7.18pm, just two minutes after patrols were dispatched. Officers detained a 30-year-old man and took him into custody. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
Kent Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the rampage to come forward. Authorities are particularly interested in any footage captured on mobile phones, private CCTV, or dashcams.
