A woman was bitten by a large black dog, thought to be a German Shepherd, just after 8.25am on Thursday 9 May 2024. The incident occurred while she was waiting at the level crossing on Sturry Hill and Island Road.
The dog was reportedly being walked by two women, both believed to be in their 40s. One of the walkers was seen wearing a distinctive pink coat, which has helped police focus their investigation.
Kent Police are urgently seeking anyone who witnessed the attack or who may have dashcam footage of the incident to come forward. Witnesses are asked to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289 and quote reference 46/76579/24 to assist with the ongoing investigation.
