The search for 24-year-old Leah Daley in Kent has entered its ninth day with an urgent group search planned for today. Community members in Folkestone are coming together to help locate Leah, who has been missing since early May.
Leah was last seen on CCTV footage on May 5th, 2024, in Folkestone, Kent. Since her disappearance, concerns for her safety have grown significantly, prompting a large community response to find her.
Today, volunteers involved with the group known as “Leah’s Search” will meet at 10am at the Martello Tower, which overlooks the road leading down into The Warren area. Participants have been advised to wear weather-proof clothing due to heavy rain expected between 10am and 1pm. Organisers will distribute maps to assist with the search, and attendees are reminded to bring water and wear sturdy footwear.
“Please bring water. We’ll meet and discuss the plan at 10 am, then split into smaller groups. A WhatsApp group will be set up to keep everyone updated,” said the administrator of the Facebook page coordinating the search.
Leah was last seen entering The Warren at 7pm on May 5th. Despite thorough searches conducted by Kent Police and community volunteers, including coverage by local media outlets, Leah remains missing.
Kent Police have urged anyone with information about Leah’s whereabouts to call 999 immediately and quote reference number 06-1197. The community’s determination to find Leah remains strong as the search continues, with hopes high that she will be found safe and returned home soon.
