Chaos erupted in Maidstone town centre at around 4:30am today when two men were hospitalised following a violent scuffle.
Emergency services, including the air ambulance, rushed to Knightrider Street after reports of an assault involving three men. Kent Police quickly imposed road closures to allow the air ambulance to land and to secure the area.
Police confirmed that the victims suffered injuries likely caused by a metal object. Both men were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Thankfully, their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and to locate the person responsible are ongoing.”
Authorities are appealing for anyone with information about the early morning attack to come forward and assist with the investigation.
