Kent Police arrested a man following reports of a lewd act on New Street near St George’s Square at approximately 2am on Sunday, 26 May 2024.
The 32-year-old man from Ashford was taken into custody as part of the investigation. He has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.
Authorities are asking anyone who was in the vicinity of St George’s Square at the time of the incident, or who may have dashcam footage, to come forward and assist with the investigation.

Police are urging the public to help bring this early-morning offender to justice.
