Kent Police have taken action following three reports of jewellery stolen during loft insulation work at homes across the county between late May and late June 2024.

Detectives arrested 60-year-old Stuart McAllister of Strand Street, Sandwich, on Wednesday 17 July. He has been charged with burglary in relation to the three incidents.

McAllister appeared at Margate Magistrates’ Court on 18 July. He was granted bail and is scheduled to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on 19 August.
