Eight geese were found dead on Anchor Boulevard, near Crossways Business Park in Dartford, causing shock among local residents. Initially, it was thought the birds might have been run over, but police have confirmed that some of the geese suffered gunshot wounds.

A local resident who discovered the dead geese said, “It’s such a shame and probably deliberate. It’s not the main road, and it’s usually a very quiet area.” The unsettling discovery has left the community disturbed and seeking answers.

Kent Police have opened an investigation under reference number 21-0915. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward immediately. Attempts to contact the RSPCA for comment have so far been unsuccessful, but police have stated they are treating the case seriously.

Residents in the area are being asked to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police. Witnesses or anyone with knowledge of possible suspects are encouraged to contact Kent Police as soon as possible.

The community hopes for a swift resolution to this distressing event. If you have any information, please contact Kent Police quoting reference 21-0915.
