Detectives are investigating the suspicious death of a man in his 60s whose body was discovered inside a residence on Gun Lane, Strood, shortly after midnight on Friday, 26 July 2024.
Kent Police arrived at the scene at approximately 12:30 AM and have since launched a full-scale murder inquiry following the suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
A 42-year-old local woman, who was known to the victim, was arrested at 4 AM on the same day and remains in police custody as detectives continue their investigation.
The local community has been left shocked as forensic teams have cordoned off the area to conduct thorough examinations at the scene.
Detective units are appealing to anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward and assist with the investigation.
