Police officers on patrol in Dover made a significant arrest after stopping a suspicious vehicle on Buckland Avenue on the evening of October 31, 2024. The car’s unusual driving behaviour raised officers’ suspicions and prompted further investigation.

Officers tracked the vehicle to Cherry Tree Avenue, where they stopped a 41-year-old man from Deal for questioning. During the stop, police discovered a substance believed to be cocaine. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed several weapons, including a dangerous knife, a slingshot, and razor blades.

The man was arrested on charges of possessing Class A drugs, a knife, and an offensive weapon. He also faces driving-related offences. Although he has been released on bail, Kent Police continue their investigation into the matter.

The police force has urged the public to report any suspicious activity as they work to keep the local community safe.
