Police in Sittingbourne have launched a desperate search for Peter Henderson, aged 65, who has been missing for over a week. Authorities have released CCTV images as they work to trace his movements.

Peter was last seen at 12:17 a.m. on Tuesday, 19 November 2024, in the Pear Tree Walk area of Newington. The footage shows him walking northwest towards Orchard Drive.

Peter is described as a white man, approximately 5ft 10ins tall, with light grey combed-over hair and a short grey beard. He wears glasses and was last seen wearing a green raincoat, brown trousers, and shoes. He was carrying a grey backpack and had an orienteering map with him.

Kent Police have appealed to the public for any information that could assist in finding Peter. Anyone with details is urged to call 999 and quote reference 21-0434.

Locals in Newington have been sharing Peter’s details on social media, expressing concern and hoping for his safe return. His family and friends remain deeply worried. Police have assured the community that updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
