Kent Police have made a significant impact on local drug crime after arresting three suspects and seizing drugs and paraphernalia during a series of raids in Ramsgate.

Officers launched an operation on Nixon Avenue early Monday, 9 December 2024, after intercepting a parcel believed to contain cannabis. The parcel was addressed to a local resident, prompting police to investigate further.

During a search of the resident’s home, officers discovered several young cannabis plants. A 61-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of unlawful importation and cultivation of Class B drugs.

Police also searched a nearby vehicle and found three blocks of suspected cannabis resin. A 31-year-old woman linked to the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of involvement in drug supply.

All three suspects have been released on bail while investigations continue. Kent Police are urging anyone with information about drug activity in the area to come forward and assist with ongoing efforts to tackle crime.
