A man was left seriously injured after a brutal stabbing in Margate. Police responded to reports of a violent assault in the Cowper Road area at 6.30pm on Friday, December 13, 2024. Officers found the victim with stab wounds at the scene.
Emergency crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service quickly transported the victim to a London hospital, where he remains in serious but stable condition.
Following the incident, police arrested a man and a woman nearby, both known to the victim. On Saturday, December 14, the pair faced multiple charges related to the attack.
Leigh Moxam, 22, of Railway Road, Newhaven, East Sussex, was charged with attempted murder, possession of a bladed article in public, assault on an emergency worker, and criminal damage.
Donna Green, 44, with no fixed address, was charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article in public.
Both individuals have been remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear at Margate Magistrates’ Court on Monday, December 16.
Kent Police have launched an appeal for witnesses to come forward with any information. A spokesperson said: “We urge anyone with information, including CCTV or doorbell footage, who has not yet spoken to police, to come forward.”
