Police were called to a flat on Cumlodden Drive, Maryhill, Glasgow, just after 5.20pm on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of 54-year-old Jacqueline Grant inside the property.
Relatives have been informed of Jacqueline Grant’s tragic death. Initially treated as suspicious, the case was upgraded to a murder investigation following a post-mortem examination.
Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Grainger stated: “Jacqueline died as a result of a brutal attack in her home and her family are devastated by what has happened.” A dedicated police team is currently examining forensic evidence and conducting thorough searches of the flat and surrounding area.
Police officers are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby flats and streets, and they are speaking to neighbours, local residents, and businesses to gather vital information.
Detective Chief Inspector Grainger added: “We’re keen to hear from anyone in the area between the evening of Monday, April 5, and the early hours of Tuesday, April 6. Even the smallest details could help.”
