Sussex Police have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a man’s body in St Leonards, East Sussex. Officers were called to a property on Magdalen Road on the morning of April 8 after concerns were raised about the welfare of a man.
Tragically, the victim, a man in his 50s, was found inside the home with serious injuries. The circumstances surrounding his death are currently being examined by detectives.
Detectives are now searching for Seyed Iman Tabarhosseini in connection with the murder. He is believed to have connections to Hastings, North London, and the local Iranian communities.
Detective Chief Inspector Emma Vickers from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team said: “This is a tragic incident and my thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim at this difficult time. This is a fast-moving investigation with many lines of enquiry. We believe Tabarhosseini holds vital information and urge anyone who sees him to call 999 immediately. Do not approach him.”
Police have increased their presence in the area as the investigation continues. Members of the public with any information are encouraged to contact Sussex Police online, call 101 quoting Operation Leaf, or report anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Authorities ask everyone to remain vigilant and report anything suspicious. The search for Seyed Iman Tabarhosseini remains ongoing.
